I am an experienced professional dance teacher, personal trainer and fitness instructor working in Whitley Bay, and the surrounding area, I have been providing excellent service as a personal trainer and instructor in the fitness industry for over nineteen years, with boot camps, zumba fitness, children's dance classes and much more.
I have always had a passion for dance, ice skating, performing arts and fitness. I began training in dance at a very young age at the Margaret Waite School of dancing, building up qualifications in ballet, modern, tap, jazz, ice-skating and more. I attended the prestigious Royal Ballet School for a summer programme and visited Russia to further my skills in ice-skating. I also participated in the televised Ice Warriors show in London in 1997 for the Whitley Bay Hurricanes.
I have worked with both individuals and groups in a wide variety of settings, including working as a fitness instructor for the well-known and widely respected Village Hotel, Healthlands Clubs, Shapers and Wet 'n' Wild, along with working with North Tyneside Council at Marden Bridge Sports Centre and Killingworth Lakeside Centre.
Aside from my valuable experience teaching fitness classes and at gyms, I have taught dryside core stability and flexibility sessions for the divers of Tynemouth Diving Club as well as off-ice training classes for a group of local ice skaters.
Over time, I have built up my own private personal training, boot camp and fitness practice in and around Whitley Bay and the North East of England.
As well as my vast experience within the fitness industry I was inspired by my own children and in 2008 and founded Mini Footballers a fun football class for children 2yrs-4yrs which my son loved. When I had my baby girl I started developing dance classes for little ones and messy play art and craft classes. In 2010 I created and founded Dancing Tots. I also founded Glooptastic in 2010 inspired by my little girls love of creative messy play whilst developing her learning through EYFS. In 2013 I founded Olympian Mini Stars through the success of Mini Footballers, I wanted to develop other areas of sports for children to enjoy, whilst making friends and having fun with their parents.
I am also a qualified Zumba instructor and member of the Zumba Instructor Network, Zin. I am also a qualified Boxercise instrucor and have a Boxercise memebership.
I am also a qualified childminder as well as a friendly and energetic mother of two inspired by my two incredible children everyday. I am very lucky to have such a fantastic supportive family that I love more than words can say.

Hi, my name is Hannah Macleod, I completed my dance degree in Doncaster in summer 2015 and I’ve known for a long time that I’ve wanted to be a dance teacher. I also love choreography and have some experience in video and music editing. I began dancing at the age of 4 at The Margaret Waite School of Dance and continued on to The Norma Burton School of Dance at the age of 12.
I am also a leader for a Rainbow unit in Monkseaton and have been involved in Girlguiding all of my life. I love working with younger children and so this area of Girlguiding is the perfect age range for me.
I love teaching at Charlene Melling School of Dance and seeing the children develop their technique in each of the classes is fantastic.
